3 Avant-Garde Cinemagraph Examples from Joshua Tree

 

We went on an adventure with the talented Paige Califano to the California High Dessert. We shot and produced a music video for her project French Royalty’s single "Palm Tree Sadness". It's always fun to collaborate even if its over 104 degrees F during the day. We wanted to mix a dreamlike aesthetic with crime genre tropes, so we drew inspiration from Hitchcock's oneiric use of color and some of his motifs. To turn the water in the pool black we used food dye-a litle went a long way! We were able to pull some cool cinemagraphs directly from the footage.
